I-General
Floorazzo
Tile is manufactured from marble chips embedded in a flexible thermoset
resin and then polished to a high-resolution finish. Prior to installation,
Floorazzo Tile should be stored in a controlled environment inside the
building for 48 hours at a minimum temperature of 70 degrees F. Pallets
of tile should be broken down to facilitate the warming process. Keep
all traffic off the completed floor for 24 hours.

Warranty
Floorazzo
Tile is warranted to be free from workmanship or material defects at
the time of shipment. Any claimed defect must be received in writing
by Floorazzo within the first year of installation. Under normal usage
Floorazzo Tile are warranted against excessive wear in recommended applications
for a period of 20 years.

II – Product
Floorazzo
is 24” x 24” square-edged tile, 3/16” or 1/8” thick. Set on straight
base, with a polished top radius, is also available. It can be specified

III Execution
Substrate
Preparation
Floorazzo
is installed in the same manner as vinyl tile. Flatness variation shall
be no greater then 1/8-inch in 10 feet. All surface irregularities are
to be sanded smooth. All foreign matter that would prevent adhesion
shall be removed Moisture Testing and contractor record retention is
required. New concrete must have reached its final cure. Moisture emissions
from concrete substrates shall not exceed 3.0 pounds per 1,000 square
feet per 24 hours. An anhydrous calcium chloride 72-hour test kit is
recommended. Prior to installation of Floorazzo Tile, the contractor
must make a through examination of the sub-floor or wall surfaces and
verify that conditions are acceptable to receive the tile. Particular
attention must be given to the identification and removal of protruding
objects, voids, floor sealers or any other condition that will impair
the appearance after installation.
Installation
Floorazzo
Tile is to be installed is strict accordance with the installation instructions
provided. Tile adhesive to be used is Mapei ECO350. Tile adhesive, maintenance
and detailed floor prep recommendations should be followed. For complete
instructions regarding warranty, specific installation conditions and
maintenance recommendations refer to the Floorazzo Tile website.
Part
IV – Protection
Protective
coverings shall be laid on the new installation until acceptance of
the floor. Masking tape should not be applied directly to the tile.
